Licensing issue

Hello,
I want to ask for peoples thoughts on somthing regarding licenses and usage.
My group currently has 5 people in it working towards our goals. Now, currently only 3 of us have licenses since only the three of us out of the five would ever need access to the source code. But, here is where my question comes in. Our group wants to purchase another license or two, that we would keep "ownership" of, but we could use to allow us to bring another person or two on board in a contributor type capacity. So, if the person in question left the team, we retained the actual license seat, and could use it for his/her replacement.
Surely this would be allowed, or somthing similar so teams could bring people on board and provide access without risking a 300.00 loss. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

So, to make sure I'm clear on this, I can purchase a license for myself for $295.00, but If I want to purchase one for someone else to use without making it a present, it will ocst $1495.00. This would seem alittle counter-productive to team's since it leaves us with the option's of potentially losing $300.00 for each contributor we bring on... spending $1495.00 for each contributor... or asking potential contributor's to spend $295.00 for the honor of working on our team.
I'm sure there are valid reasons for how this is set up. But it seems to place team's in a uphill struggle.
Thanks again,

It might boil down to how protective you are of project code and how controlling you wish to be. We are trying to operate under the banner of "You keep what you make, so long as it doesn't compromise the game while it's in development."

That seems like one spin on the licensing difference, so if I were to counter with the other "Pros" of getting a Commercial license it would be this:- The license stays with your team/company[li]Less restriction on how you present and sell your game (no need for GG or TGEA splash screen during startup)[li]Access to Torque Boot camp
