TGB Adventure Kit question...

Just curious and definitely not trying to start anything, but wondering why there is a two tier pricing structure with the kit. You apparently get exactly the same kit, but at a substantially higher cost for the commercial version.

I love the kit, and have been thinking about buying it, but since I own the commercial pro version of TGB it seems I have to pay extra money for the kit? Again, not trying to start anything because I know a lot of people will jump on to say it's well worth it, and I agree it's a great kit. Just wondering...

Most commercial owners of TGB are such because they did not qualify for Indie pricing. However, since I see you own several Indie products, it appears that you were one of the folks who took advantage of the Early Adopter commercial upgrade price.

If that is the case, and you do indeed qualify for Indie pricing, you can purchase the Indie version of the TGB Adventure Kit and use it with your commercial version of TGB.

Thanks for the reply, Eric. Kind of what I thought, but wanted to be sure. And yes, the only reason I got the commercial license was because of the deal for the Early Adopter upgrade. That, and the fervent hope that mine will be the multi-million dollar TGB game breakthrough. ;) Anyway, so it doesn't mean just because you have commercial TGB you have to buy commercial AK, instead it just follows the same guidelines for commercial (revenue based) pricing as TGB itself.

Thanks for the response...

I also upgraded to commercial from being an early adopter. Then bought a commercial license for adventure kit when I could've just bought the indie license. But oh well, it's not that much of a price difference.

@Joe: It's a great looking kit even for the commercial price, I just thought I'd clarify the pricing schedule because there are a couple of other items I was looking at that are priced the same way. I liked the idea of getting the commercial upgrade for EA just to have it, but realistically the Indie versions of the kits and packs are all I need. Now that I'm clear on the pricing I can start picking up new 'toys'.

With Behaviors out now, I'm really anxious to start seeing Behavior kits. I have a feeling those will be a big seller. More vehicle Behaviors, NPC Behaviors, pinball Behaviors.......possibilities are endless. Can't wait...

Just adding a note here to say that I purchased and downloaded the kit, and have spent some time briefly looking through it. Have to say that it's not worth $39.95. It's worth a lot more. Great job, Sickhead, and looking forward to more TGB stuff from you.

One question, is it okay to install the kit with 1.5 Beta 3? I could just try it, but figured it was easier to ask. Thanks...

#Edit: I should have asked if the kit is compatible with 1.5 Beta 3 instead of asking if it was okay to intall it... ;)
