Large Tent Model...

It's only 818 triangles for all of it, and I haven't thrown in the guidon that was pictured in the concept sketch yet, so I figure there's some room for details. Since I'm not all that with texture creation yet, I'm only doing the modelling(hoping to change that soon). Critiques are most welcome though.

Very sweet Ted please send it over so i can have a better look at the model. The way it looks now i think we can loose some polys without loosing to much detail. If you want i'll map it for you so we can get it in game and see how it looks..

Anymore, I would give it a bit more chaos (on the cylinders).
But that's a nice modeling! I like it a lot ;-)

Okay, dropped a good number of polys on it so it's down to 528 now. The same level of detail... :)

Great Tent, how will you export this out of Truespace ??? and would it be a dif or a dts ???

Exporting is the hard part, and right now I send them out as 3ds files to be exported from Max. I am thinking of sitting down to write a tS->dts converter, I don't think anyone's started on one yet. Right now I'm trying to create some new primitives that would make building these things a bit easier(automatically triangulated, one-sided, and cylinders with no caps-tubes) without having to go back and do a lot of editing later.
