I would say the letters could have more effect (at least a little gradient...)

I think you might need to re-position the word "Wars", as it tends to blend into the other word too much. Unless you outlined the letters somehow. It does look good though.

What are you using to create that font? Are you doing it by hand or ... ?

You may want to incline the ax at a 335 degree angle from where it is now, placed slightly over the shield and behind the letters. It gives a more dissorganized appearance than the straight-standing version, giving a hint of chaos. The ax looks great, but you may want to add a very small hint of red on the edges, to give the impression that it's been used once or twice.
The lettering does need to be moved, or faded. Gold to a faint, darker yellow would be nice on both words. That way, you won't have to move them, but they won't be blended together.
You may want to put a hint of light coming from behind the side of the shield that's not faded (which I like). That'll give the impression that there's something behind what we're seeing on the box, possibly a war being fought, etc. It also adds a small touch of the unknown.
Overall, very nice design.

So I didnt quite get down with all the right carving effects on the lettering.
I reckon doing a "good" logo is actually pretty damn hard.
I quite like the simplicity of the shield and axe motif, Ive head all sorts of other weapons in there, including skullcrushing maces and all sorts, but I just keep coming back to a simple axe+shield.
I've had an idea for another try, so I'll give it one last go :))
Logo's are fun!

Sadly I'm only happy when using plugins :)) and my plugs got deleted when I moved to PS6.So I didnt quite get down with all the right carving effects on the lettering.

Here is a little wip shot

little side note to all who are going to give this a shot, try to make the logo as big as possible since it will always be easy to scale down scaling up however will hurt the quality and overall sharpness.. My pic was done on a canvas of 1200 x 600 i scaled it down to 600 x 300 since i didn't want to choke any conections =O)

Sorry i can't help it but i had to try out a logo my self. Tyler obviously came up with the right font it fits great in the whole RW idea. I was juts not sure about the gold glossy look so i made it to look a bit more... worn..Here is a little wip shot

The way I'm talking about can be seen in L. Foster's concept: http://members.shaw.ca/loganfoster/temp/rw_logo_var01.jpg
I'm trying to attain that sort of affect from both Tyler's logo as well as the lettering, but am having a hard time trying to figure out how to do so. Any help with that will be appreciated.
Here's what little I have so far:

I'd like to create a light effect coming from behind the circular logo (Tyler Frans') behind "Realm Wars," but I can't figure out how to do it the way I want in PSP7. :-/ The way I'm talking about can be seen in L. Foster's concept: http://members.shaw.ca/loganfoster/temp/rw_logo_var01.jpg

I think if the Letters had an outline so when they overlayed each other they didn't get lost, maybe even add like glowing fire behind the letters.
