Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to launch the Torque Console ?
I tried to hit the tilde key '~' after the start of the Torque demo application, but the console didn't appear?
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Tiago

Wrong. The console works always - not only in the mission. You keyboard language setting may be different so that the ~ event is not thrown and the console does not open. I have seen this esp. on Linux boxes. What are you using OS wise?

If you start the game, could you find somewhere a text input field and try to enter a tilde if that works? For example if you start the fps mod and enter as player name in the start game gui a tilde. Does that work?

Another option is to open the console.log file and see if it has errors inside.
Oh - is it a stock TGE demo you use or did you modify *anything*? If you modified something I would suggest re-installing a fresh one and see if it happens there too.

Hmm, strange. Hard to find out. I just downloaded the demo and it works flawlessly for me pressing the tilde key anywhere in Torque and getting the console. Do you use a portuguese keyboard layout? Can you change it for testing to english and see if you get the console there?Another option is to open the console.log file and see if it has errors inside.

to launch the console on my german keyboard I had to press the '^' key.
Maybe this also works for you.

Thank you very much for your replies. Here in the work, one person who already worked with TGE told me to hit '\' and it worked! It should be an universal way to open the console ...Best Regards,
Tiago

Basically it's always on all keyboard layouts (as far as I know) the key in the upper left corner, left of the number keys.

On swedish keyboards the key for the console is the "paragraph" symbol (sorry, apparently you couldn't write that symbol in here... forum ate the rest of the post when I tried...).Basically it's always on all keyboard layouts (as far as I know) the key in the upper left corner, left of the number keys.

Yes, in my spanish keyboard is the upper left corner (ªº\ key), pressed alone.
