I am lost

If I have little exp in programming, is it worth it for me to post new games and ideas. I looked at the forums and it seems that people are making games, but the forums also state that ideas are cheap but for some reason they all have the same idea. I want to be part of game development and garage games is only 50 miles away, so this has me excited. The thought of telling my ideas on a message board for anybody to look at is great, but what is the point of telling game ideas if there is no chance for the people who have little programming exp.

If you have money you could pay skilled people to do the parts you can not do.

If you are full of great game ideas, try turning an idea into a game design document. Ideas are great but you cant really make a game without a design.

Ideas are cheap and posting ideas wildly is probably pretty pointless unless you can provide some incentive for people to build your games, and no the greatness of the idea itself isn't going to be sufficient incentive.

If you really want to have your game ideas made, you need to find a way to fit into game production. It doesn't have to be programming. Art, music, business knowledge, etc are just as necessary to the final product. So if you think you might fit better in one of those other areas, maybe try that.

Since you're already pretty close to the Garage Games office, it might be worth checking out this link if you do feel you have something you can offer:
