Ok, so this is as much a rant as a suggestion to be blunt.
I worked on a model for the last few days, was tweaking it so it was flawless etc. Naturally you only know its flawless when you put it in game. So I had made an update to sort some things out wth the model, I exported via legacy.dif and the model exports and the model dissapears from the window. SO i figured that its still there, just gone visably if that makes any sense. I saved the changes and went to test it.
Ran the game, model is gone. Went back to Constructor opened up the file. Model is gone. Seems that when I export by legacy.dif the actual file just dissapears. Why?
Could it be made so that the file doesnt go away?
Can my model stay in this plane of existance please?
Sorry if thats a little snarky but its not put me in the best of moods hehe. However this is a sincere suggestion. Can the model not go away so things dont screw up?

I've made a few simple things and exported them, and I had saved this model before exporting it, nevertheless the model dissapeared when I exported it, but the file/scene remained the same, I exited and it asked me if I would like to save the changes, I didnt actually think the model had gone, so I clicked yes, figureing that it just hadnt registered me saving.

Constructor is the home to many gremlins, not nice, funny ones, but the mean type. I also have a theory that Constructor was send to earth to destroy humanity, like Pandora's Box; full of promise and wonder, until you open it.
Now, when you open the file with the missing model, look in the window on the upper right - called 'Scene'. If it have any brushes listed, it is a chance that your model is still there- but hidden by a bad brush or some 'fog of obscurity'. This might be one of Constructors 'features' like a game to play when your in the middle of working...

But if you dont have it now, may the lesson be learned to Save Often!
I have seen sometimes when I go to SAVE, it will FLIP to 'new01' Scene; and its needed to goto SCENE menu option and click back to the scene i was working on. But even if this was the case, it should have given you a warning before letting you exit from Constructor.
It is always a good rule of thumb to get to know your tools before trying to do real work with them. Try making a few simple box shapes, export them first before spending great amounts of time right of the bat building something big. Once you get to know how Constructor works, and what its little bugs are you are far less likely to lose valuable work.
