In need of help (noob questions)

Sorry for the questions, but im confused out of my mind about this whole process
of getting, and using the Torque game engine. Myself and a few friends are looking to purchase the Torque Game Engine Indie License so that we can begin making a game, and I was just wondering if anyone could answer my questions on how it all works.

What I know currently is that, we pay for the indie license, and then we are able to download it to a computer. Now I myself am going to be working on the world, and I will end up doing little with the source code, but my friend is going to be the one working with the source code.

So question #1 would be, Whos going to have to 'buy' the license, My friend since hes going to be editing the source code, also, what program(s) should we look into getting for editing the source code?

& #2, If I'm going to be working with the world/levels, how exactly do I go about doing that, would he need to compile the code, and send me a file?

Thats all that I'm confused about at the moment, if anything else starts too puzzle me, I'll probably end up coming back here, but for all of those who reply, thanks in advance.

To edit the source code you have to buy TGE, to make maps and mess with the torque Script you can just use the demo.

the demo is obtained here.

http://www.garagegames.com/products/1/

the torquescript is everything in the .cs files, you can mess with that and see how it works out for you before you buy the full source code.

there are lots of resources to help you, one of the first ones I used was

http://www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=resource&page=view&qid=6221

implement that and you should learn some of the basics in scripting (I have some more similar resources if you want more example type files).

to answer your second question, go into a map press f11 and then you should be able to find your way from there.

-Question 1.
answer= The person who is going to modify the source code. That person is the only one allowed to even see the source. and, any compiler will modify the source code, but whoever buys the engine will need to look at which one they can/will use.
