Zero luck exporting to TGE

I finally decided to try to export to Torque. I did the sensible thing and just textured a cube. Well I've used every option there is and the Torque menu refuses to see the object. I even redid it with a stock texture that was already in the folder to take out that variable. Still nothing. It's one thing to have an object refuse to load but to not even see it in the list as an option is blindingly frustriating. I mentioned it in another post, any hope of Torque ever adopting a traditional import interface? It's amazing how often I've had Torque refuse to see an object in the menu.

Any hints? I'm running TGE 1.5.1. I've used every option except the TGEA one. Pretty sad I can't get a cube to be recognized. It's in the interiors folder and I just loaded them into the Contructor folder there. The single biggest reason I was excited about Constructor was in theory ease of importing. I just also tried loading a DTS sphere into the shapes file but TGE couldn't see that either. That's really odd given I copied the file out of TGB and the file and map worked fine there. In truth I'm not even a 100% sure where to save the objects since for some bizarre reason the menuing structure in TGE doesn't match the file folder structure. I really wish it'd adopt a windows style file load system. At least I could physically see the files even if they wouldn't load.

FYI I'm trying to load them in the FPS Starter and I have loaded the files into half a dozen places but they still never show. I know other people are doing it so it's possible.

I used to play around with FPSC. It's a pretty miserable game engine, buggy, bad slowdowns, but it did have one thing going for it an aftermarket software called Signs. It was dirt cheap and it allowed you to make rooms, walls, floors and decals in seconds and it was rock solid. When you hit save it loaded them into the engine ready to use. Constructor needs that kind of solid exporting. I hated FPSC but I really miss Signs.

Well don't ask me how or why but suddenly all the models are showing up in the menu and they weren't this morning. I did nothing but now everything is there both the DIF and DTS models. The DTS were Modo models converted with Milkshape to DTS format. Absolutely bizarre. At least there are there now and seem to work fine. The only problem is the light mapping didn't come through. Got to run some more tests. Have to read up. They must need to be baked in.
