Most Expensive online game?

by Josiah Wang · in General Discussion · 04/18/2007 (3:22 pm) · 4 replies

Hey guys, this is kind of a personal question, but I hope the guys here at GG won't mind...anyway, I was wondering, what's the most expensive subscription based online game you guys have come across? Are there still games like NWN was back then, where they charge you by the hour? I overheard somewhere that a game was charging upwards of 10$ per hour, and I just wnated to make sure something like that actually existed, since it seems really expensive...

Well, I don't know by the hour. Most online games charge by the month nowadays. I myslef play Dungeons & Dragons: Stormreach,, and they charge me $12 a month. I heatr that's WoW price as well.

Hope that answers youir question!

Being a player of too many online games (yeah a weakness, but it is great research). Most MMO's are $14.95/mth although it really depends on the company and how many months you want to pay for up front. There are a lot more "free" online games these days, but there is usually a catch like having to buy in game items for real cash and such.

I play xbox live and pay $50 a year. Some of the new PC games are coming out on xbox 360, so this fee is very small compared to what other benefits it has. Also you will be able to buy more Garage Game games in the arcade if you buy a live subsription. Everybody wins. I think it is $59.99 for new subsribers.
