RTS/C++ Error

I have recently bought the RTS Starter kit and TGE 1.4.2/1.5.1 . I have been following some of the guides to make the RTS Starter Kit compatibale with them. When i try to run RTS Full Project or any C++ files under C:\RTSKitMerge\SDK\VS2005 it says Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have tryed reinstalling it many times, and restarting my PC but i still get this error. I have a Windows XP, Its not Vista. I also have Microsoft platform SDK for Windows installed.

Anyone have any ideas?
