Saving bug

1. Go into "Faces" mode.
2. Make changes.
3. Go to file->Save
4. Enter file name, hit return.
5. You'll see a message "this tool only works in brushes mode."
6. Change to brushes mode.
7. Do Fle->Save.
8. Nothing is saved. The filename retains its "*". To save, you need to make a change, and the do File->Save again.

Maybe the document's dirty flag was set to false before the brushes mode check was made.

Wierd, I can't seem to get this to happen. I made a cube, selected a face in face mode and dragged it a little, clicked file-->save, typed in filename, and it saved no problem. I got no message about brush mode either.

Weird. I was just practicing making doors, so I should be able to re-trace my steps and try again. (Mac OS X 10.4.9 by the way.)

Just tried it in 10.4.9 as well. Still no probs here. I'm interested to see if you can get it to happen again, keep me posted. Is there any other info you can think of that could in any way be relevant? Were there any other steps you took like CSG, etc?

I tried again with a simple case repeating my steps from yesterday -- make cube, hollow it out, make door, switch to faces mode, modify some textures, and save. No problem this time. I tried it three times without repeating the bug I had yesterday. The above definitely happened -- in faces mode, it didn't want to save -- but I just can't get it to happen again. I'll keep trying.
