Looks like 8600 GT's are about to hit the shelfs in the next couple days.

Shader 4.0 / DX 10 for under $200 USD.

You should be able to use the current Nvidia driver

Select "Download Driver" from menu here www.nvidia.com/page/home.html

edit add: BTW I would like to know the framerate when it runs that DX10 waterfall demo if
you have a chance. It's at Nvidia's site too.

Nope ... not one of the current drivers on nvidias website is compatible atm with this card. which kinda of sucks.

Didn't it come with a driver disk?

Did you try Forceware version 97.94?

Yes it came with a driver disk and as I have said already all the drivers on NVidas website atm state that they are the wrong driver so they cancel out the install. The driver disk that does come with the card says it is not current enough to run the TGEA so for the moment I am screwed until offical launch.

I think today is the official launch date anyway. Should be a driver soon..

Update: Looks like they launched 3 8000 series cards this morning :)
