Snapping

I never understood why level editors don't have "snap to verts" or "snap to edge" and so on? Like how Maya and Max have.

Maybe someone out there could explain this to me. I think it would be a great tool to have.

I agree. Especially in torque's mission editor... I made a few bridge "blocks" that I could connect to make paths in Constructor, but getting them to line up in the mission editor was a pain in the ass. Even a clone tool would help, so the clone pops up exactly where the original was.
