Learning Constructor (a warehouse)

by Gareth Fouche · in Constructor · 04/12/2007 (12:24 am) · 7 replies

Been playing around learning the tool, I must say it is much, much better than Quark. Really easy to use. Nice work guys. And exporting is so painless!

Anyway, here it is, in all its glory, a warehouse (although it kinda ended up looking a bit like a barn :p). Still needs some tweaking, and I've only used the default textures, but it's not too bad.

Throw in some of Todd Pickens barrels and Crates and it starts to look like a real warehouse. :D

Neat, thats quite good. I would suggest scaling the textures to fit the player size, of course that may be on your list of things to do on the final 'tweaking' phase.

Hmmm, good point, definately something for tweaking.

I'd just like to add, the ability to include reference shapes like the Orc is great, makes life so much easier.

I agree. The ability to add a dts shape for reference is one of the most useful features IMO.

The warehouse looks great BTW! :)

That looks great... did you twist the wooded beams in the last pic, or is it just the texture?

I agree with the reference shapes.

When ever I use to make interiors, they always ended up at least twice the size of the player when I put it in to torque.

Being able to load player or car models for reference, makes life much easier!

Looks very nice, and BTW, aren't barns just big wooden warehouses anyway. ;-)
