When will the 1.02 out?

I was just noticed the new static mesh feature in the coming TGEA 1.02,but when will it launch? Some of my new project's huge interiors can rely on it if it comes out in time.
Thanks.
Thanks.

GG does give a changelog :)

There's a changelog supplied with the Torque MK kit. It tells you what was changed, what files/functions were affected and why. Compare that with what GG supplies with torque itself. Amateurish at best. If that's what I offered my programming manager in my professional capacity documenting my changes, I'd be looking for a new job.

Havent seen the Torque MK kit changlog, but from what you saying it does indeed sound like something GG could adopt.

It comes back to this, for me. GG needs a full time community relations, communications, and documentation manager. Someone who's job it is to talk to all us impatient users and leave the programmers to do their job.

I know Brian generally posts a short list on the forums here, and I appreciate it, but it's really not enough. Things like "Lots of Atlas changes, looks lighting related" really doesn't tell us much.
Jeff Faust's post on the changes he made to the TGEA particle system should, IMO, be the model of how to document engine updates.

Matt: we more detail in the change log/release notes for each version. Simply saying "diff the code and look for yourself" is not an efficient way to notify of changes.I know Brian generally posts a short list on the forums here, and I appreciate it, but it's really not enough. The official word is: "it's in QA" but apparently behind a TGB update and a Torque X update.

I wonder if that means they could submit a new version before the previous one starts being tested by QA, since the previous one is just sitting there untouched?

I'm sure they've already been working on 1.03 for awhile now. We should be seeing this update soon since Torque X has been released.

Yeah going to be nice to see some TSEA luv'n for a while since every other product has had their turn already(I hope).

I just think TGEA is too much of an awesome product to put lower on the priority list.

The only problem with a new TGEA update is content. Bug fixes are very important and GG has done a good job addressing them. But there hasn't really been anything new for TGEA in near 2 years. Don't get me wrong, TGEA is awesome, but there's no new such tools or for Atlas. It's always, "don't expect anything major in the next update, just bug fixes..." And now that GG has decided not to offer any new pre-release information about updates to us customers, this gets even more frustrating.I just think TGEA is too much of an awesome product to put lower on the priority list.

Bout that time of the month again, is there any new info on the 1.02 release? Looking kinda crispy back there on that burner. :D

I don't think we'll see it for awhile. Some say it's already in QA, but that's been going on for 3 weeks so I very much doubt it.

Well... I'm waiting for TGEA 1.03 if the Dissapearing Projectile bug isn't in v1.02... :-(

Considering TGB 1.5 is out and the Torque X packages have launched, it might be coming up soon.
