Testing textures

Just having some fun. These are just some of my stock tileables. Not sure how to turn off the light's visibility? Also not sure if there's another way to export renders other than screen captures. Having a lot of fun with Constructor. Had some trouble with Lighting but I've ironed out most of it. I'll post a page link as well. Never trust HTML, I suck at it. There are some more texture tests on that page link as well.

"Well some one tried to send me the proper link format. Worked even worse than before. HTML makes no sense to me so I really hate dealing with the links. I simply can't get it to work most of the time. I came up with a system that worked for another site after a lot of trial and error but there's no way to test on this site. Don't have the time to try and R&D it out. Wish there was another way to do it here but I guess I'll just avoid the subject. Working too many hours to worry about HTML links. Sorry everyone."

It's why I never post images. 9X out of 10X I can't get them to post so it's more trouble than it's worth. Just not into HTML. I tried but something is still wrong. The link is there if anyone is interested.

Thanks. I just really hate HTML.

Just playing around with a street scene. There are five 512X512 images four of which make up the building front. The dormers are made from the building front textures. It started out as a flat building front then I used a knife to cut and angle the roof then added some boxes and reshaped them for the dormers.

Wow. That looks awesome, Cary.

Thanks. I'm real into hybrids where some textures are scratch painted and others are using source images. Even the photos are heavily repainted and I've come up with a lot of tricks to make them tile. I was trying to see what I could get away with by just having extremely low poly minimalist geometry. I'm curious to see how they Look inside TGE. Even the low poly stuff looks good inside Contructor. I'm surprised it looks so seamless between things like the roof and the dormers. They're separate geometry and if I tried that in a CG software with a similar set up it'd look awful.

I finally dug into TGE, I've been using TGB, and I figured out editing terrain. I just need to sort out importing the models then I can really see what's possible. Dying to see what things look like inside the game engine itself. I'd really love to check out TGEA, I own it but I'm still figuring out Torque so I'm a long way from applying shaders. I'll try to post some captures from within Torque when I get a chance.

Thanks. I was kind of stunned it looked as good as it did given the simple geometry. The problem in CG doing this for close ups it'd usually have some nasty corners but they aren't that noticeable.
