1, do portals work yet, i havnt been able to get them to do anything.
2, how does one make a interior that goes underground, like the lighting pack demo tunnel. when i try the ground is still in the interior.

2. The terrain was most likely lowered before the placement of the interior. Try using the world editor to modify the terrain before placement, and you should be good to go

Ok, forgive me becasue I am very new to this, but it sounds like you actually want to remove a small section of the terrain from the map, creating a hole that you could then place an interior to "catch" your character as they go through. So far, the only way I have found to do this is by going to the terrain editor and under Actions, select Set Empty. You obviously will have to adjust your brush size. Also, I have not been able to get the Set Empty action to work without first adjusting the height of the selected area to something besides the default height, but even the slightest adjustment seems to work to allow you to remove a patch from the terrain.

2) make the interior like you want, then you have to select that square of terrain in the in-game editor and set it to hidden (cant remember the exact menu name, but its in the menu)... careful modelling though, as the square you want hidden might go outside of the interior and leave a hole outside... if you set the interior to not show terrain inside, you still collide with it so that sucks
