Deeper Dungeons Free Download

Hello All,

Here is something I've been working on recently. It is a very simple 1 player dungeon bash. In the game you have limited health which is ticking away slowly over time and the objective is simple - get as much treasure and kill as many monsters as possible before dying (sounds a bit like real life for some people ;)

Download it here:

26MB

Instructions (& screenshot) on how to play are here:

Gameplay tip: each successful strike on an opponent will cause the next attack to be at double damage. Being hit by an enemy reduces your own damage level to its base amount, so it is better to hit and not be hit, although that may well be obvious

Gameplay tip: Dungeon is generated randomly, including contents, however if you take the same path through the dungeon (ie same exits) each time then you will encounter the same environments and contents - this is deliberate as it allows exploration to find out which way to the best treasure/powerups.

A screenshot is found here:

It looks good.
Horde Slayer too.
Simple games.

What engines are they base one? TGE and TGB?

Thanks,

they are not using either of those engines. Hopefully GG does not mind if I post something in the general discussion forums that I did not create with Torque ? It is blitzplus - a 2d programming language.

Nice work! I was following this over on the Blitz forums. I still need to give it a whirl, though! Maybe tomorrow when I have time to collect my thoughts!

Hello All,

here are some screenshots from the "Hi Res" version which is not currently available for download but should be eventually (when I get more webspace):

Hi Res version will be between 90 and 100 MB in size to download - each character has at least 800 frames of animation and in some cases more, and is the size as shown in the images above. The backgrounds are 2048x1536. Game should run fine on any machine with at least a 2GHz processor, 64MB VRAM and 512MB System RAM.
