Constructor commands zip on tdn

by David Stewart · in Constructor · 04/05/2007 (11:04 pm) · 6 replies

I know it's old, but is the xls file that's in the constructorcommands.zip on TDN still any good or toss it in the Recycle Bin?

Greetings!

That file should still be good although it is no longer complete. I'll be posting a new one in TDN sometime soon.

Does the commands.zip file document the plugin API, or just the normal user documentation?

If it documents the plugin API, can someone post the actual URL where it can be found? Even if it's old, it's got to be better than nothing.

I hate post bumping as much as anyone, but the file that is mentioned on TDN is only accessable to people who were allowed into the Constructor beta program.

In the absence of documentation for the API, could someone 'in the know' please tell the rest of us wether this file contains any kind of description of the plugin API, and if it does, could someone that has the power to make it accessable please remove the beta program restriction on it so that we can at least have some kind of reference.

Edit: Come to think of it, would it be difficult to enable all of the Constructor beta pages on TDN so that all of us can access that information? I can search for things related to Constructor and see that they exist, but cannot view any of them.

Pete,
I found out about this file by looking in the file list at tdn.
go to 'special pages' under toolbox on the left (bottom) and then click on the 'File List' link.
do a search for constructorcommands and you will find the zip file.
You can download it and see what's inside.

It's an excel spreadsheet (can use openoffice is dont have excel) that has a
list of the script commands available in constructor.

by looking at the date and seeing the beta version number (5) you'll see that it is old. most of the commands work though.

Thanks David!

Your suggestion on how to actually get the file worked, and the contents of the file do indeed shed a lot of light on the plugin API.
