Building an .exe

Hi
So since August I have been working on a Multiplayer RTS game which you can read more about here: http://www.gearsofgames.net/index.htm . Allthough the game isnt finished yet I want to compile the game into an exe so it can be sent out as a demo at some stage over the next few months. I am not a programer allthough I have a very basic under standing of it. I have been working in the RTS starter kit. I had heard people talk about copying the demo exe and its folder from Torque then removing the files and then copying my game files into it but I allways get can not open main.cs . Any chance someone could help me thanks.
Also I am looking for a way so that the actual game files (models, sounds etc) can be axcess by players when i get round to sending out the demo or a full version. Any ideas on that would be helpful as well.
