Hi All,
I'm just after some pointers or suggestions on any system that would all me to create a virtual copy of the school I work at.
What I want to do is create a 3d virtual envronment that represents the school and allows users (teachers & students) to log in and interact, e.g. create message boards, blogs, messaging, etc when they are in particular classrooms or areas. I guess I'm looking for something similiar to Quake; M$ World; Adobe Atmosphere but it must be fairly simple for the users to use & hopefully opensource ;-) ...
Possibly client/server with the server managing session communication and the client dealing with the session rendering...
I dont really know whats out there as this gaming/virtual 3D subject is a new area for me (being predominantly looked away in the server room looking after the network that is).
All suggestions welcomed..
