Hello my fellow developers, whether indie or commercial, and my fellow gamers. I'm a college student in the field of game software development and I'm making this post for one of my classes. It's a survey to help me research game augmentation strategies. I truly value and appreciate the input of anyone who posts. Sadly I cannot offer any compensation aside from what you will learn from those that post with you and if you'd like I can share my research with you. For a copy of my research, please include in your post that you'd like to receive a copy and your email or you can email on the email listed in my GarageGames profile. Thank you all and I look forward to your posts! =)

1. How much time a week do you play or develop computer/video games? (Please specify if it's playing, developing)
2. What game genres do you like the most?
3. What is your age, gender and the region you live in?
4. What is your educational background? If a developer, what is your development background?
5. What game that's on the market now do you think could use some changes? (Please only one)
6. Would you change the lighting?
7. What kind of lighting effects would you like to see added?
8. Would you take away any of the lighting effects?
9. Would you change the AI?
10. What would you like the AI to do differently?
11. Do you like how the game's graphics are rendered?
12. Would you make the graphics better quality?
13. Do you think a different graphics style would suit the game better?
14. What kind of graphics style do you prefer? (Realistic, i.e. Half-life 2 or Doom 3; Cell shading or cartoon/comic book style, i.e. The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker)

1.) ~36 hours developing only.
2.) Everything I guess.
3.) 22M Sweden
4.) Can not explain equivilant education in English.
5.) S.T.A.L.K.E.R
6.) Yes.
7.) More moody lighting and shadows, to add some horror elements.
8.) The ones which are in are not very defined, so no.
9.) Not really.
10.) N/A.
11.) It is ok, but a bit dated.
12.) From a developers point of view, no. Too much time to change it. From a gamers point of view I would want it though.

Edited.
