This is somethign that I am really having toruble with. I cant deside which engine I should use for my game. I own both TGE and TGEA. In my game I need shaders ..so theres 1 point for tgea. I also need large terrain, theres another point for tgea. But the problem with the terrain in that I am not very knowledgeable with tools like l3dt or terragen, so I woulnt be able to make good looking terrains. The terrain is my biggest problem. Even If I could find someone to build terrains for me ;-) then I wouldnt have a problem. Of cource I would pay you if your interested. Back to the point...I just dont know what I should do. Any ideas.
And BTW I was serious about the job for creating terrians :-)

Having used both. I say TGEA and deal with it's short comings, that's what i am doing. Then again i know a good deal about C/C++ and am making most of my modifications/optimizations that way.

1. Is TGEA the same product as what used to be called TSE (Early Adopter License)?
2. Is TGEA a complete engine?
3. Are there any screenshots available of the product?

2.- yes ..it is a direct x 9 shader based torque game engine.. it also includes some extras besides shaders.. like the atlas terrain but that is somewhat premature..also you need a direct x 9 compliant card to use it
3.- yes.. go to the torque game engine advanced and look for the screenshots sections.. there you will see what is tgea capable of ...
Cheers!

If you haven't already, check out Russell Fincher's .plan about his adventures in TGEA terraining. If that doesn't help you, he or his company compatriots might be up for a side job. Who knows? It might be worth a try.
Good luck.
