Wow, yet another person who can't get sidestep animations workin

Much like the other people who posted earlier, I can't get my side animations to run in the game. Every other animation I've put in works perfectly and I haven't changed the naming of anything. My sidestep plays just fine in the showtools mod, but when I run the actual game, nothing animates when I side step. The player does move to the side, but his feet don't move. I'm using 3ds Max 4 and I'm culling out the upper body nodes, before you ask, hehe. Any ideas?

Thx for you time

Using Milkshape and Release_1_1_1 or a HEAD prior to June 2002? Then you should check this out...

Hmm, I can't see what's so difficult here, I have successfully exported side step DSQs using both the Biped shape and a custom bones setup without problems. Perhaps you could explain more and we can see if this is a problem with what you did in your 3D program or if its maybe something that lies with your teams programmer to fix.

read the comments of Joe Maruschak in the above link, this got my sidestep animations working. you have to animate the bounding box too!

I had the same problem a few times, what got it working for me was lowering the side step speed in the player.cs in the scripts folder or upping the distance the character moves in your animation.
