This is funny shit! Why do you post it here? It would be so much simpler to just ask Spencer in person. Looks to me someone wants to make a new Vashner thread.

As for your claims, I could not find anything in the first thread about Spencer nor his assets. The second one is down though.

As for Spencer working on the project, money talks. If Lost Colony can fork out the cash to contract someone, why shouldn't they?

I guess this is another weak attempt by Allyn "Mr Bloodworth" Mcelrath on taking jabs at our "Lost Colony" game. I will never understand it.

Did we break the EULA or something by hiring Spencer to work in our team as a 3rd party? Last time I checked, this site had an employment section for such a thing.

Lost Colony has hired a lot of devs from this site, and we've paid them for their time & work. I hope that isn't against the EULA.

It would've been better had you sent him an email instead of posting this garbage in this community. Did GG hire you to patrol games and to make sure "credit" was mentioned by developers? By the way, I credited Spencer several times in that thread, I also pointed to another thread (in that thread) crediting him.

Does this mean that our game isn't original work? I mean, we hired him, he did the work for Lost Colony so that the player models would comply to Lost Colony needs. What about all of our other work such as the bases and stuff? Is that not our work even though our dev team made them?

I could be wrong, but I really don't think this community here is really focused on this petty drama. It's moot.

This is just a waste of time

Plagiarism is a very serious accusation. On should be VERY sure of the facts before even bring it up. This seems more a matter of semantics...

Good luck with "Lost Colony", i would suggest putting in more details, the screen shots look a little dry.

Allyn, You are making alot of false allegations and assumptions. You are now twisting things to make it appear as though it was proper to post this garbage.

Nearly every single dev we hired from here could tell you that you are way out of line.

I'm not even going to argue with you. Like I said, I believe that this community could care less about this petty post.

You purchased Torque, but did you buy it to make false allegations about other game developers and its companies? Have you made a game as we have?

OH nevermind. This is useless.

Allyn, it's really the other way around. You're the one that is making false allegations and pulling "stunts", while lying to people. I just found out who you are.

You're the one that posted in the PlanetSide forums and told people not to buy our game because we were only using the "Torque Demo" and had no original content. This was a total lie at best. We don't even use "Torque" (TGE) as we are using TSE (TGEA), and the demo in that is still far different than we ever released. We weren't even using the DEMO for crying out loud. We are using Atlas terrain.

We also made all of our own interiors and the bases. All of which, are original content.

You have been pulling stunts constantly ever since, telling people at PlanetSide that you're a Torque license holder and know all of these "facts", blah.

If anyone is misrepresenting this community, or Torque, or Torque Advanced, it's you. I mean, look at this post! You don't call this one of your stunts? Questioning everything we do, lying to the public, and telling people that you know better because you're a Torque license holder?

You haven't even seen our development for the game. Other developers which we have hired from this community have. Other developers that we hired from this community who are part of our Lost Colony team also think you're way out of line.

Not only do you have no business making false allegations about us, but you really have no business making every attempt to damage another Torque license holder.

That's all I'm gonna say about your petty argument. Have fun, but I would definately watch what you say.

My comment was more aimed to Andy Hodges, one should be able to take the press, good or bad.
After all most everything people say is opinion based. Sometimes opinions make us feel like arguing, but when that happens we have giving opinions power over our own emotional well being...

I agree Caylo, and it's all opinions. The fact is, I'm not even the "leader" of the developer team. I am an employee for the company. As far as our reputation, it's very good or there wouldn't be nearly 2,000 people waiting on this game. People have pre-ordered and have seen enough of the game to pay for it.

While we have credited every artist for their work in our game (see all previous release versions under the credits and they have been properly credited) nearly all the developers we hired didn't care either way. They are getting paid by us to do exclusive work for Lost Colony, the game, and that mattered more than being credited. They also want to use their work as part of their personal portfolio, etc.

We have common sense to credit developers, and the community doesn't need a watchdog to do it, or make postings such as this one acting as if "good will" is being done. And to be frank, it's nobody's business who we credit or don't. It's between the developer and the company that's launching the game.

I know Allyn apologized for making this post, but I hope this demonstrates that on-going postings on this subject should stop. This is ridiculous and no Torque licensed holder deserve's it. Especially when they are making a game, while the attacker has not made a game.

Same thing goes with our EULA with GG. It's nobody's business what license we have, indie, commercial, TGE, or TGEA. That's between GG and Red Planet/Lost Colony.

Anyway, back to work. :)

This is almost as good as another "Constructor" thread.

Did Allyn just delete all of his postings that started this thread? It certainly seems like it.
