TGBX Particle Feature Request

It would be nice to be able to type in the time and value fields of any given key that you place in the graph editor for particle properties.

I'd like to be able to separate the axes for random motion on the particles. For snow and bubbles, for instance, all I want is a little side to side drift without any up/down added.

Color variation on each channel (RGB) would be cool, as would the ability to lock channels together. If I wanted random greyscales for instance.

Another handy feature would be smooth or bezier keys, but that's more of a wish list sort of item, since it's pretty tricky.

Particle editing is awful in most software. We've talked a lot about possible ways to improve it back in TGB and came up with a couple things that we're kinda mulling over. One of the things that makes it difficult is the fact that there are no good examples out there. Being that the people working on TGB are UI champions and our artists are all sticklers for usability, I would expect some nice improvements in the future.

As for 1.0, I wouldn't expect any severe changes to the particle editor. There won't be any (re: 1.0) unless Adam goes nuts and pulls an all-nighter again, though last time he did that the animation editor got a bajillion times better, so anything's possible, I guess.

Don't get me wrong. I actually find the current editor to be pretty flexible and useful. Just thought I'd add in a few suggestions.

As far as examples go, I think Unreal 3 has a pretty decent particle editor. A lot of the cool features they've got, you've already implemented though.

Honestly, our particle editor is ok, but it's definitely not ideal. I think people tend to expect less from particle editors because the bar has been set so low. Hopefully we'll be able to raise the bar a little.
