You might want to put this in the team development or job opportunities section then.

The only portion that I think is useful out of that kit is the source code. The artwork is below par, even on an indy level! (just My opinion)
Lorne, what is the deal with the price ?
Seriously, I am overly curious...about why you priced this @ $495.

@Michael K: You're offering a paid job to provide this kit and then balking at what amounts to about 1/2 of a man-week's cost to get started with the Ubiq kit? I'd grab that kit and TGEA and get to cracking...you're talking about a much smaller investment than lining up a competent developer to recreate the kit on TGE.

The $5000 is for the commercial license. Check the footnotes on the pricing at the Ubiq site.

@ David
The $5000.00 price is for ALL retail purposes. Either way you still need to purchase a 495.00 seat per developer on your team. The 495.00 version allows you to look at it or distribute your game for free. If you make a dollar off your game.. you must then pay another 5000 per title. After reading their site and the blog, this is my understanding of it.

@Andrew - This is my understanding from reading the license agreement. Too bad for me, it looks nice. But there is no way I can afford this.

Meaning that to make a single dollar off your game would require you to pay an addition 5 thousand dollars just for the commercial license to be able to sell your game. I don't know many people with the budget to drop 495.00 on a kit to look at the code and an additional 5 grand to drop on the kit just to sell a product made with said kit. I truly hope they find an audience for the kit but I don't see any here. I really hope this is not this is not going to be the common price points for kits as we move closer and closer to T3D because price points like this one will exclude almost all of this community.
