Character rotated 90 degree when runs

Problem with character animation in Torque: after exporting my character from Max8, after running "unmessdts.bat" and renaming a DTS file to "player.dts" everything works except distance from the ground (above the ground) and he runs not strait. He runs strait but his body is positioned at 90 degree to the direction. Yes, I did "box trick". Any suggestions?

Make sure your character is facing the "+Z" direction in 3d Studio Max.

My character after export is facing a right direction. Only when he runs from a third person view, his body are turning to -X but he still runs in +y. Thanks anyway.

As far as I know, he should face "+Y" with his back to the front view in Max. "+Z" in Max points to the top. Maybe you're talking about Maya? In Maya +Z is the same as in Max +Y.My character after export is facing a right direction. Only when he runs from a third person view, his body are turning to -X but he still runs in +y. Thanks anyway.

Thanks a lot for this link. Ha, it still does the same.
Question: many people talk about checking the box with "Collapse Transform box". Where is it? I have Max 8 and there is no such a rollout in DTS. Maybe it was in Max 2 or 3?
