User Interface Widgets

While the programmer art for my UI is...OK, I'd really like to spiff up my user interface elements. I'm not using the "built-in" GUI system because I need to animate and do other trickery with the widgets. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place to download nice looking UI widgets (buttons, panels, scrollbars, etc.). Free (as in beer) would be great, but if not I'm certainly willing to pay for a nice set of widgets.
I Googled for a bit, but didn't find anything that fit the bill. I suppose I could hire someone to help me out, but my budget is quite limited...
Any help that you fine folks could provide would be greatly appreciated.

www.bittbox.com/freebies/72-free-vector-glass-buttons-and-bars
Free vector based stuff, greyscale so I imagine you could colour tint them fairly easily.

I also want to do the same but I didn't get around to try it YET. But I was wondering if it is possible to have a sprite functioning as a GUI widet, for instance, and attach a list GUI element to it? I saw some GUI-mounted-on-SceneObjects before...

I figured some generic type buttons would be a good idea; should I offer the buttons in layers, or as a single image? I could even give them a "recessed" version (for that pushed in look). Anyways; just something else for the "to do" list in the future I suppose.

I've thought about putting together a free pack or two of buttons, etc.; for our site (www.ozarkgames.com). What type of look would everybody be looking for (glass, pastel, cartoon, etc.)? This isn't something that would happen right away (projects take precendence); but I'd like to offer a bit more than the free 3D/2D assets we currently do, for the Indy Developers among us to use as placeholders or actual game assets.I figured some generic type buttons would be a good idea; should I offer the buttons in layers, or as a single image? @Keith - I'm sure there are tons of people who would be interested in something like this. I personally like glassy, but I'd be interested in anything you'd have to offer.
Thanks again.

@Minty - These are definitely going to save me a lot of work! Thanks! I started using Inkscape last weekend, which is a GREAT piece of software by the way, so I can bring these in and tweak them as needed. This is great! Just out of curiosity, how did you find these?@Keith - I'm sure there are tons of people who would be interested in something like this. I'll see about working something into the schedule then, if there's interest in it. Probably a few buttons (different shapes), sliders, etc.

@John - found them via (from memory) a CommunityMX newsletter, which supports Flash/ColdFusion/Fireworks etc users (basically Macromedia's Studio MX, which is now Adobe Studio 8). The newsletter tends to have an interesting wrapup of stuff happening in the big world :)
