When will TX support shader model v1.1 base requirement like XNA
by John Klimek · in Torque X 2D · 02/03/2007 (11:55 pm) · 6 replies
The base requirement for XNA is shader model v1.1, but TorqueX requires shader model v2.0.
When will TorqueX support shader model v1.1 graphic cards?
Thanks...

Yeah, it will. We have fallback support implemented now. What happened was that xna was 2.0 only until they launched, taking us a bit by surprise.

Any update on this? I'd really like to start using TorqueX but my laptop only supports shader model v1.1...

Yeah, the newest builds have fallback support. We just need to launch it so you can get your hands on them. At GDC Microsoft finally announced the bundling of TorqueX with creators club and gse (which is what we were waiting for btw). That means we can launch now. It shan't be that much longer.
