Mac Torque - Intel vs PPC

Hey guys, I was hoping to get some advice with regards to running Torque on a Macintosh system. Now, I've read the requirements and they're pretty sparse with regards to suggested Mac hardware.
I'm planning on getting myself a new computer (either a PowerBook G4 or an Intel-based MacBook Pro), but that all hinges on whether or not Torque runs on the Intel variety, and I want to run it natively (as in, not boot into XP with Boot Camp just to run the engine). If it doesn't run natively, how's the Rosetta support?
Either way, would any Mac-based Torque users be able to recommend me some appropriate specifications? I've been told to get at least a gig of RAM and that it may run sluggishly using a 64MB graphics card - is this correct? A desktop is, unfortunately, out of the option.
No offense to Windows users, but I really don't want to part ways with OS X, so a Windows machine isn't a possibility.
Thanks in advance you guys!

Get an intel machine.
Get as much ram as you can reasonably afford. My old machine had 1.5G, that was fine. My new one has 2G, which is also fine.

Still get as much as you can reasonably affod.

Torque builds on mac as a universal binary; in other words, if you do a release build, you get a binary that runs natively on both.Get an intel machine.

I am currently building and using TGE on a PowerBook G4, but if your choice is between a PowerBook G4 or an Intel-based MacBook Pro - go with the MacBook Pro. By default, the builds are universal, so they will run natively on the Intel machines. As for the specs ... depends on the game.Edit: Hahaha - we're all over that one!

Wow, thanks a lot you guys - I didn't expect such a lightning response! It's really appreciated. I'll look in on that MacBook Pro - finally, a good excuse to buy a new machine! Thanks again.

I love hearing about more Mac Torque users.
