Wii will have non-VC indie channel

As suspected, but not confirmed until now.

Nintendo confirmed today to CVG that new downloadable games will indeed make their way to Wii, stating, "Nintendo has developed a programming system that will allow small independent developers to make games for Wii download service. We cannot confirm at this time in what format the new content will be delivered, but in the future there will be original games available for download through the Wii Shop."

Looking back at Nintendo in the past, I wonder how hard it is going to be to actually get your game on the Wii Shop.

When they show up at GG's office with there VW like they did in the country customer commerical WITH the devkit AND saying how can we work you your indies. THEN.. .it will sound cool.
