TorqueX and 3D

I've noticed on the product page that TorqueX says nothing about 3D technology anymore, has it been scrapped?

Any word on the 3d formats it will support (.x, .fbx, .dts)?

But that's all just a guess based on logic.

I imagine it would support .x & .fbx given that they are part of XNA... I would also imagine they would add .dts, because that makes sense...But that's all just a guess based on logic.

What is Torque 360? It's listed on the product page as coming soon. I thought TorqueX would support 3D (eventually) and TGEA also is supposed to support 360.

Torque 360 would be a version of TSE that runs on the 360. It's a different ballgame than TorqueX. But, yes, TorqueX will support 3D eventually.

TorqueX will eventually support 3D and is bound to XNA.
Torque 360, however, is a port of the engine to the 360 which requires a devkit from Microsoft and a bit of cashflow to license.

Torque 360 is TGEA for the XBox 360. TGEA was ported for Marble Blast and MBUltra for the 360, and I am sure that support for new TGEA features are being ported as well.TorqueX will eventually support 3D and is bound to XNA.

There is *some* 3D support in the beta. I have written a small dts model viewer/animator with it. The beta doesn't use the content pipeline for models and only supports the dts format.
