Generic contract

Some of my builders are beginning to ask about intellectual rights contracts, as well as royalty contracts. I've gotten most of my paperwork together, but not anything yet along those lines. Does anyone have something I could use as a guideline? An old contract they've signed perhaps? I'm not too concerned about how well it would stand up in court, as my team is scattered around the world, and it really wouldn't matter much anyways. Just something that looks nice should work fine.

I don't have a contract, nor have I signed many, but I was thinking that you could check the Entrepeneur/Small business websites. Many such sites often have sections that teach people (and inform) how to run small businesses. These sites MAY have example contracts you could use as a starting point.

I agree a contract is a contract, so make sure that it covers your needs, and make sure you understand it. However, after some incredibly difficult searching, I did find something that is almost exactly what I need, and will most likely be of use to others here. So, as soon as I get a chance to clean it up, I will post it as a resource.

I didn't mean to imply it didn't need to be legal :) It's just such a gray area having contracts between various nationalities. We may have treaties with various countries, but many types of contracts simply don't hold up in international courts.However, after some incredibly difficult searching, I did find something that is almost exactly what I need, and will most likely be of use to others here. I don't happen to have anything laying around at the moment that's usable. However, you might make a run to the bookstore, and look under the business section. There's a number of books of nothing more than various contract templates that are pretty good for what you need.
As for it not needing to be legal - well, if you are having people sign a contract, you better rethink that sort of thing. It could come back to bite you later.
