My First Car?

So I can make the simple shape in 3ds max. However when it comes to vehicles I am at a loss. Do I take my simple shape add 4 hub dummies, mass dummy, eye and cam dummies then link the dummies to the "base01" or "Start" or the mesh? For now I just want a square and 4 wheels.
Is there a good tutorial that explains the whole process from "Open Max to hit the W key to move forward in torque?"
or am i just not looking hard enough for the answer?

Wll actually there are several tutorials on it in the resources section, but they are a bit dated. You can look at TDN and they have some pretty good stuff to get you started as well. But the best I have seen so far for this is for you to get the books 3D Game Programming All in One and the Advanced version. They do step you through how to do it from start to finish for the most part.

I have seen many of the tutorials. They all just say you need and they list the nodes or dummies. They don't ever say how to attach them. Or do I even need to attach them?-Georgep4

I went through the "The Game Programmer's Guide To Torque" and as usual it just lists the mounts, eye, cam however it talked about wheels but doesn't say any thing about Hub0-3.
