Guys, can anyone help me move this gui. Im trying to move all the chat. I'm gonna post an image with the problem. You'll see that the text entering portion won't come down with the rest of the chat. I need some assistance plz.

If you look in the gui editor built into the game it's "messagehud - 1213

Thanks. If you want me to make you one. Give me a sketch or something and I'll do my best to duplicate it for you in photo shop. I'll give you the pst file and the file product. He he.

I have been trying to fix that too, I think you need to modify the script and not the GUI for that part.

I fixed the chat hud issue...I'm working on some stuff...learning C++ now. I'll do some concepting and work on your mid-evil ui on monday.

Yea...I'm gonna have to dig through find the coded area. That part of the gui is hard coded. You have to change the code to a static location. It actually took me some time to physically change ti being I'm a freakin noob at coding.

@Sean: don't feel too bad--while the stock GuiHud chat window is actually pretty powerful, it does have some unusual coding practices--one of which is layered GUI's and calls (not so bad), but the other is the location of the GUI's are scattered in different dirs, and can be extremely difficult to simply move around. Ran into this myself when I first started working with Torque.

There is a lot of stuff with this engine that makes it for more advanced users than it does for the practical noob. I find this very difficult to do stuff with cause I've never done this stuff and got good deals on newer modelers that aren't supported. I keep running into brick roads so I've moved onto a C++ in hopes to fix my own problems.

Portrat ui gui.
1. how many bars (i.e. health, ect)
2. Do you need a face frame?
3. Do you wish to display the players name under over the health?
4. give me your idea of mid evil. (I.E. explain how you in picture mid evil)

I'd kinda like a little more info before I start thinking up some designs. Portrat ui gui.

Health, MP, EXP bars
Circle thing like yours, display a small picture of the 3D Models head in the circle (If you can, probably hard)
Medieval like: The same-looking as yours but with a japanese-edged looking style.
If that's hard to understand then try to choose anything that would look best for a medival game =)

You'd have to code for the user head to appear. I'm fairly certain that's done via the torque code.

I have a rough copy going right now. I need to finish up the little pieces I've got left. I'll post a copy tonight. I've added the following. I can remove some if need be. I've made a bar for name, hp, mp, exp on the hud. I can redo it if need be. I made it a tad large but it will be shrunk later on when the final version is done.

Ok...so what I have planned ehre is take the rogue triangle at the bottom and have it go all the way around the character circle hud kinda like spikes. It's a rough. I've not played with it for a bit. I'm hoping i can dabble a bit here shorlty. I'm sorry for taking so long. Again, leave me some feed back.
