#2 Hey Tom, wow, I forgot about that grass stuff, I guess it's been awhile since I posted around here. I'm actualy a few projects down the road, I'll be speaking on a per pixel displacement mapped impostor method I created.

This is not the same conference as last years conference held in October of 2006.
It was cancelled, wasn't it. If it is, I would love to attend. I had wanted to go to last years GDC held in October of last year, but 1 month before the event GG had pulled the invitation to members and cancelled the event.

#8 I think you're thinking of something different, GG hosts a small conference for indies, is that what you're thinking of? GDC stands for Game Developers Conference which is held in March and wasn't cancelled last year.

#11 I know Adrian and I will at least be representing MGT at GDC. We have some big things in store for the show. Hopefully there will be some time for everyone to get together and have some fun bar hopping.

#12 Ok, now that I know that you're talking about something different, where is this conference being held, what do they talk about there (creating games, tools that people use, ha, ha, ha), how much money is the entry fee?

#14 @Eric - Do you already have a room reserved? Things are looking like I'll be at GDC promoting IMGDC, so am looking to share a room if anyone is interested (and a cab for that matter)

#15 @Jonathon - I just got my travel funds from the school this week so I'll probably set up a meeting with the financial person and have them book the room sometime next week (I have to go through the Universities bureaucracy if I want to get any help with the expenses :-/ ). I've done some searching and so far this place http://www.grantplaza.com/index.php looks like the best deal, 70 bucks a night for two twins seems very reasonable, and it's not too far from the conference. I'll send you a message next week once I have a place booked.

#17 The grantplaza sounds like a good value indeed, even less ($55) for single twin beds on internet special. Of course with city occupancy tax and sales atx it'll back in the $70 area. Still not bad for San Fran.

#18 I'll probably end up flying in the day before the conference starts.

#19 I'm going! I can't wait to get away from Seattle and escape the rain. And of course, I can't wait to scrounge up a bunch of loot while I'm at the conference. :D

#20 I have a reservation at the grant plaza hotel for march 5th-9th, Jonathon just got word from microsoft that they are putting him up in a hotel so I am once again looking for a roomate... any takers?

We should have a GG night, like where we all go to a bar or something.
