I was inspired by this thread over at Indiegamer, and figured we could do the same thing here on Garagegames. Give us those photos!

I guess I'll start with mine. This is from a few months ago, when it was very empty, just my XPS and an extra LCD to show stuff to clients. I've fixed things up a bit since then so I'll try to post some recent pics.

@Okashira

I'll do that, when i can find the camera - it is somewhere under this pile of trash and books, also known as my desktop...

@Aaron

Looks nice :)

I'm game. carl.lscode.net/my-office.jpg

The desk is a solid wood door laid over a pair of two-drawer file cabinets.

Hah - in three out of the five pics so far, there's a wireless router *directly on top* of a computer.

This thread is making me want to clear up my desk lol

Ok i'll show off a bit... we moved into an office a few months ago after spending the first 4 years working from each of our home offices. Some proof that you can do well if your a smart indie developer..

First my messy desk...

My desk is like the Southpark Warcraft episode bad guy's desk. Except my can pile is red bull not rockstar.

@Tom - It was so impressive nobody could compete with it

@Mincetro - I don't think that's completely accurate... there are some bigger studios lurking on these forums. ;)

This is what my "office" looked like around GDC time last year. I bet you can't guess what I was working on at the time ;-)

Things have been rearranged a bit since then but it's still fairly similar. Amazingly, the desk is still pretty tidy. This marks what's probably the longest period I've ever had a tidy desk ;)

Incidentally, there was some thread like this a couple of years ago. Might be interesting to dig it out and see how things have changed. I'm far too lazy to search, though ;-)

T.

Edit:

Here's another one from about a month earlier showing the desktop background a bit better.

That test map was perfectly sized for playing corpse curling. Drop a bunch of grenades at your feet, set em off and see how far your corpse flies. Get it just right and you can go flying the entire length of the map and off the other side into horrible grey oblivion.
