My name is David Blake. I've been using Torque in its various incarnations for around...what four years now? Damn that's a long time. I like long walks on the beach with the elder gods. Sometimes I play backgammon, though not very often because I'm not very good. I am active in community theatre and have an independent film company here in Idaho that I started with friends. I read entirely too much on social, historical, literary, and theatrical theory and contemporary philosophy. Yes, I have seen both Zizek! and Derrida on DVD and spent entirely too long watching lectures from Judith Butler on YouTube and Google Video. I write voraciously and cannot seem to say anything in less than a 1000 words. I am often openly acerbic though it is probably a sign of misplaced aggression towards all things not shiny. I have great respect for people who are willing to use search engines and read forums to get a feel for the flow of a community. Oh, and I've been programming C for over 15 years, C++ for around the same, and other languages such as VB, Perl, Python, Ruby, Javascript, Actionscript, etc for entirely too long for work and for fun.

And my XBox 360 has terminal freeze errors so I get to send it back to Microsoft.

Welcome.
