Maya 8.5 exporter?

Does anyone know if this has been created. I was going to buy maya but the latest version is 8.5 and I want to make sure that there is an exporter for it before I go drop that kind of cash.

It won't teach you much about modeling in Maya but if you're already familiar with Maya, this is a great resource for how to use the Maya2DTS utility with a character.

sorry it took me so long to respond.
Load and Auto load are selected. The plugin is in the place u said.
Maya crashes whenever i go to export something to DTS. I have a PPC mac (Powermac G5, 10.4, maya 8.5).

In you tube I seen some examples of animation tutorials being exported into TGE using Max on Windows. It was a simple tube animation that was being exported.
