Ok, reading several tutorials i can make my own 2d concept art, but now my problem is how to paint my scanned art?
somebody told me a wacom tablet + Aias SketchBook is the best of the best and the easiest, now i would like to ask you, what would be your recomendation?
and a second question would be, exist painting tutorials? (not drawing, just painting)??
many thanks,
matt.

I highly recommend 'Art Rage' www.ambientdesign.com/artrage.html. It's about $20 and a bunch of artists at the company I work for have been playing with it and getting some amazing results. Wacom or equivelent tablet is a must!Nic.

I just found a nice little application called Open Canvas www.portalgraphics.net/en/. from my first impressions it seems rather nice, it feels quite natural with a tablet. If you don't have a tablet, then I would recommend a wacom, they usually come with an application like Art Range, again a nice application. Its all down to personal preference. I would try a a few demos and see what suites you best.

Pencil is a fairly neat, easy to use, and decent enough program for those that like a more traditional way of doing things. Not to mention, it is free and open source ... always a plus!http://www.les-stooges.org/pascal/pencil/index.php?id=Home
