2d Artist wanted

I'm an experienced programmer that is interested in making relatively small scale 2d games as a hobby. For the last few weeks I've been coding a simple space shooter to learn the basics of TGB. I'm amazed at how easy this engine makes programming games, but it also makes me wish I had better artistic abilities. Enter this post...
I'm looking for a 2d artist that is willing to work with me to make games. You would do the art, and I would do the programming. The decisions on what sorts of games we make would be a cooperative effort. If any profits resulted they would split 50/50. If you aren't the kind to cooperate then please look elsewhere.

I already sent Chris #1 an email, but since there is now another Chris I thought I'd just post here.
My email is: ribblem -at- yahoo.com.
Over the past month I've been learning Torque Game Builder, which is game engine for 2d games. Here is a link to a space shooter I've made from what I've learned www.glacialwanderer.com/games/SpaceForce/0_1/SF_0_1c.zip You will need windows to run this.
The controls are:
Up_arrow - acceleration
Left_arrow - turn left
Right_arrow - turn right
Space_bar - fire
z - Switches to inverse world (color obviously get reversed, but also the gravity from the black holes gets reversed)
As you can see the are is very bad. The art is all png files stored in SF_0_1c/SpaceForce/data/images. There is also a lot of work to do on the programming side of things, but much of the game structure is in place so the coding aspect is farther along than you may guess from playing this demo.
I have no great need to finish this game so if you don't want to do art for a space shooter that's fine. If you do want to do art for this sort of game then we can discuss the direction we want to take it.
If both of you are really interested in working with me, we'd need to figure out how that will work. I am fine with working with multiple artists, but only if everyone wants to work together. If that arrangement isn't going to work, we can figure out who I'll work with. I want to make sure everyone is open and happy at this stage, otherwise we probably won't get very far.

Torque Owner Chris de Joya
Used to work in mobile games, now a card game illustrator. I'm a bit rusty on the game design side, but I'd be happy providing art and following your lead at first.
Please have a look at my portfolio, and get in touch with me at chrisdejoya @ gmail if interested.
