TorqueX and TGB

Hello,

I purchased an indie license for TGB about two weeks ago and I am very happy with it so far. Then I recently saw product information on the GG website about Torque X. Would you have time to help me understand what Torque X is? I have read the product description but I'm still not sure if it is something I would be able to use with my skillset or with my TGB license.

Two questions:
1. I am not a programmer. I am an advanced 3d animator who is fluent in Maya and Max. I am technical enough to feel comfortable with the scripting language in TGB. Would someone with my skillset be able to make use of Torque X?

2. Is it possible to develop for Torque X with TGB? What else would I need to purchase to use Torque X? I am making a 2d game and I would love to be able to use more 3d elements in my game if possible - would Torque X help me do this? What kinds of advantages (other than playing on Xbox360) does Torque X offer?

Thanks very much for your time.

Not a Torque expert, but I'll answer nr 1. Granted I am a C# developer with years of programming experience, but IMHO programming is programming. Wheter it be scripts, C++, C, etc. If you can handle the Torque Scripts(which in my opinion remind me of C++ style syntax) you'll adapt to C#, and hence be able to make use of it. Personally I'd say that it will even be easier as you'll have a great IDE with lots of bells and whistles(Intellisense, refactoring, etc.)

Personally I cannot wait until it's released.
