Also, can I use Gamespace or would Vue be enough?

    Hi Shawn.

Regrettably no, you cannot. Vue and Poser have very strict Eula's which means you cannot use their 3d files in any commercial way whatsoever.

You can however create heightmaps for terrain in Vue and export that as a bitmap. Thats the only legal thing you can get out of any of those two programs.

I think you can use Gamespace however.

I'm building a 2D game in Game Builder and 3/4 of the art is coming out of Vue 5 renders. Technically some models purchased out of Cornucopia can be exported but they are too high res to be of any use and the textures aren't really exportable, kind of yes and no on that point. For 2D art and Billboards I highly recommend Vue. Also skyboxes are exportable and Vue 6 does stunning clouds and skies. You can export the trees but they'd be really high res for game use. I use exported trees in Lightwave all the time. Some models don't allow export but most do they just are a little too high res to be practical for games.

I have seen some people doing animated sprites with Poser but the 3Dmodels are far too high res even the low res ones for game models.

As Cary notes the models that can be exported have a different license than those that ship with Poser or are part of the default Cornucopia/Daz/Renderosity license. But for the most part they are unsuitable for real-time rendering because they were designed for high-resolution procedural rendering from the ground up.

You can use renders that you make with them in TGE and TGB quite nicely.
