Mac TGB 1.1.3 release?

by Clint Herron · in Torque Game Builder · 12/29/2006 (6:55 pm) · 3 replies

As of today, it has now been exactly one month since TGB 1.1.3 went live. Is there any clue as to when the new release will be out for the Mac?

I know, I know, "it'll be ready when it's ready" -- but I just didn't know if there were any projected targets or something. I seem to remember reading one of the employees giving the impression that the Mac release wasn't far behind, and from the impression I got reading it, I didn't think it would be terribly lagging.

Just curious, thanks. :)

Maybe we'll get the next update...

Although, I must say, this *is* a welcome improvement from the 1.1.2 release, which didn't even mention that the Mac version wasn't ready yet. The 1.1.3 announcement DID make it clear that this is only the Windows version, so that's a welcome improvement. :-)

Other than that, I agree with Clint that getting some word about when the Mac version _might_ ship would be helpful.

Okay. Well my publisher expects to have a testable demo in four weeks, and I'm wondering if I need to accomodate Torque 1.1.2 for the Mac or what.

Any updates? If you guys are close to release, I'd love to hear about it, otherwise I'll look into compiling the 1.1.3 sources on the Mac myself.

Thanks!

Edit: Gary Briggs very kindly posted a bare-bones TGB 1.1.3 Mac build over in this thread in case anyone else is interested. Thanks, Gary! :)
