Torque 2d Early Adoptors left in the dust?

by Jeremy Greiner · in Torque Game Builder · 12/29/2006 (2:50 am) · 3 replies

I'm a Torque2d early adoptor, I haven't done anything with it in over a year, however I've noticed they no longer have Torque2D, it seems to be replaced with Torque Builder, which I presume is the same.

The thing that I want to know, is do we get a free update to the Torque X like the other Torque GameBuilder owners get as said here: http://www.garagegames.com/products/torque/x/ or are we left in the dust because we purchased early?

Note:
The reason I ask is on the page it states: "You can use the registration key for TGB found on your My Account Page to unlock the TGBX trial"

Yet on my account page next to my Torque2d license it doesn't list a key, it states no key is required.

I have an Xbox 360 and was considering joining the Creators Club and was itching to see what this could do.

If you click the download button for TGB you will see "TGB Editors for Torque X - Unkeyed install for TGB owners. Install Torque X first!"

I'm guessing thats it.

(I was wondering about the registration key stuff myself)

As Joseph noted, just download the TorqueX binary product and install it. Then install the Editors from the TGB download page. Boom. Unlocked editors without a license key.

Joseph and David said it well...

Torque 2D Early Adopters definately didn't get left in the dust :) In fact the product you purchased for $80-$99 is now selling at $250. So you definately get a benefit from being in the EA (as I did since I was an EA user too).
