I hope this helps a bit... I know how frustrating it is getting the stuff you need to start working, then not having any guidance to get you started.
(Assuming that you succesfully got the SDK downloaded... if not, email or msg me, I'll try to help. I just did it a day or two ago, so I know what you are going through)

I think this provides the info necessary to get started writing code with Torque.
