Problem with viewing the console window

Hi
I just got Torque and im going through tutorials with scripting. But im having a problem with viewing the console window when i test scripts in my game. I suspect it has to do with my keyboard being set up for norwegian, cause the tilde('~') sign is a secondary key on my keyboard. If i am to make a '~' sign appear in a text-editor (ex. notepad) I have to press down "Alt Gr" as i hit the spesific key, and then hit spacebar.
Is there anyone who has experienced the same problem, or anyone who has a work-around for this?
I appreaciate any help i can get.
