stupid questions..

How much space does the v12 source take up? My hdd seems so small now with only 2.65gb left. :)

And, will we be allowed to install this onto multiple computers. That is, my friends are going to help me mess around with this.. will they be able to have the source on their computer also, or will we have to contain it to one?

This has been covered on another thread. All people who need access to the source (eg programmers) need to purchase their own licence. Scripters, level designers, artists etc don't.

I just cleared 1.4 or more GBs off my hard disk of files I was so low on space. I needed to make room for other installations.
I have less than 1.3 GBs remaning - swapfile space.

It's what happens when you work with multimedia so heavily...
I need a 60 GB hard drive.

The source code and scripts do not take very much space at all about 18mb. I have object files from 2 builds on my machine (VC++ and CodeWarrior) each build takes about 90mb of space. Where you start eating space is textures and shapes for your game. The V12 demo will be very light on the art side so nothing to worry about there. But when you start working on your game it might be a good idea to budget a gig of drive space for art in all its various states.

I'd go more than that. OR at least I intend to go more than that, probably 3ish. Don't want to run out of space at a bad time :) Besides, once I get this, I can fump all the other engines I have been evaulating :) Burn em to a CD and delte the suckers.

Stuff that could take up the extra space, not including art? Installers (if you're the lucky one to do them), test FULL builds, etc :)

Drive space is relatively cheap, you can get 60 gigs for 100 bucks nowadays ;)

Just out of curiousity Rick.

I have CodeWarrior and VC++, which is your preference for working with V12?

In Rick's plan I believe he said he was getting the V12 to work with VC++. I could be wrong however.

I paid $130 for an 8 gig not too long ago.
Couldn't afford the $160 20 gig.
I hate that stupid shop. I need to go to a superstore or shop online huh?

If you can get 20+ gig for $100 tell me where.
